RBS Training
The Responsible Beverage Service Training Program Act in California requires servers of alcoholic beverages and their managers to be certified and knowledgeable about the dangers of over-serving patrons and the dangers of serving alcohol to minors. The training acquired through our registered RBS training program focuses on responsible alcohol service to prepare staff serving patrons. If you or one of your employees is in need of expert training, we can help right away.
An “alcohol server” manages or serves alcoholic beverages for consumption on a premise licensed to serve alcoholic beverages. With CA Assembly Bill 1221 mandating ABC-approved RBS training, hired employees must be certified within 60 calendar days of hire. A person is considered a manager if they hire alcohol servers, oversee alcohol servers at a licensed premise, or train alcohol servers. We’ll teach you California-specific laws and regulations that cover your legal responsibilities as a server.
RBS Training Program
Responsible Beverage Service training equips servers and managers with the knowledge to navigate complex situations involving alcoholic beverages. Our RBS training material pulls on real-life examples to fully provide servers and managers with the knowledge they need. The times when you should check identification and refuse service to a patron are also covered in this RBS training program.
Certifications are valid for three years and require renewal before expiration to remain valid. By the end of our course, you will be able to understand alcohol’s effects on the body, alcohol service laws, how to refuse service, and how to identify problem situations that involve alcoholic beverages.
